We are sure most of you know by now about the dire situation in BC that has developed over the past week. Our province has been severely hit by floods and entire communities have been displaced over a very short period of time. Our hearts go out to all of the families and businesses that have been affected by this disaster.
Having said that, we wanted to bring awareness to the situation, and for those who want to help, go check out local government pages where you can find donation opportunities and other helpful ways to support our neighbours in need (links at the bottom of this post).
To show our support, from now until Christmas we will be donating a portion of each online and in-store sale to support the Abbotsford Disaster Relief Fund and Canadian Red Cross. You can find out more about these programs on the Abbotsford Community Foundation Page (https://abbotsfordcf.org/) and at The Canadian Red Cross Page (https://www.redcross.ca/).
Shipping Update During State of Emergency
Due to the relief efforts and general devastation of the area, please note that for customers living within BC affected areas, any orders that have already been shipped will be held securely by Canada Post until it is safe to deliver your packages. Any other packages that have not been shipped yet, will be packed and held at our warehouse until Canada Post has been given the go ahead to service these areas again.
For the rest of Canada from Alberta through to the East Coast, we will still be shipping regularly, but packages may see a delay in getting to all destinations as we handle work arounds for our shipments. There are some essential services being allowed in and out of BC but sparingly. Please be patient with us as conditions slowly improve again in our province.
Deliveries to the USA will remain unaffected.
Thanks again for all of your support and please pay it forward for those affected most by this unfortunate time. Please refer to our links below to find out more about the situation and how you can help.
