1985, the Dinobots gained popularity with their innovative approach, adding five transforming mecha dinosaurs to the Autobot army, which had previously been primarily comprised of car-like members.
Grimlock, the commander, now appears in Missing Link with a completely new design and enhanced functionality.
Grimlock transforms from a mecha Tyrannosaurus into a robot.
While retaining the same die-cast construction, both forms feature movable joints for flexible posing.
The colorful mechanical details previously recreated with stickers in the previous toy are now recreated with 3D sculpting and meticulous painting.
The included saber weapon is silver-plated to evoke the Diaclone era, and is made of hard plastic to recreate its sharp tip.
Two handheld guns, a "double laser gun" and a "missile launcher," are also included. The missile launcher's missiles can be removed and attached for imaginative play.
Like the C-11 Delta Magnus, a female "human" figure is included, and can be placed inside the dinosaur by opening the cockpit hatch on its back. A "
secret emblem" is also attached to the robot itself, and when heated with your finger, the legion mark appears.
The back of the robot is equipped with a joint hole for a separately sold stand, allowing it to be displayed in action poses.
The package illustration is a newly drawn version inspired by the original, and a collectible card is also included.
